I picked this book up a couple of weeks at the Border's at the Biltmore on Camelback Road. I am sad to see that Border's location closed down as it always had the largest selection of design books.
The images captured here are at times humorous, unexpected and even charming. But for those who understand the rules that are being broken, these explorations of type design are refreshing and inspiring.
Type images were collected from countries around the world, including the United States, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Belize, Canada, Colombia, Venezuela, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, and Malaysia.
The book also features a CD with an awesome collection of fonts for designers into hand drawn typography. I was fortunate enought to do some work this week for a client featuring some of the fonts!
Great read for designers of all ages.
