If you have a business, product and services and you are not utilizing the Internet to tell the world about it, you are losing big time to your competitors. Everyday, there are BILLIONS of people using the internet to look for product and information. If you know how to market your business online, you will definitely improve the bottom line of your business.

However, when it comes to effective internet marketing campaign, there are many critical components that must be prepared and set up properly from the very beginning.

The first component of an effective internet marketing campaign is your Business Unique Selling Proposition or USP. Ask yourself these questions...

  1. What is it that you want people to remember you when they go online?
  2. What BENEFITS can your business/product/services provide?
  3. What differentiates your product/service from your competitors?

Spend some time analyzing the market of your business and find out:

  1. What people really want?
  2. How can your business or product satisfies the market needs?

Once you have understood your market and are clear with your own Unique Selling Proposition (USP), the next step is to create your business website.

Now, don't fret even if you have not created a website before. With today's advanced software development tool, you can easily set up a clean, simple and professionally looking website even if you have no prior experience.

To create your business website, I recommend using a professional design company that offers a content management system that allows you to control your own contnet and one that is search engine friendly.

The next important component is email marketing. This distributes information about your products or services or is used to get feedback from your customers about your products or services through your email.

Customers and prospective customers can supply their email addresses or you can choose to purchase email addresses through lists. There are various email methods that are used including newsletter distribution or mass mailings or even offering your customers special things related to your company's products or services that are being offered. This is basically the same as direct mail advertising that is done offline.

Next, take advantage of Online Press Releases. These are very powerful online marketing tools that you can use to tell the world about your business, product or services.

Some press release sites are free to use, some are paid services. Some of the free ones I use are: BigNews.biz, PRLog.com, free-press-release.com, fgnpr.com, etc. If you want to find more press release sites, just search them on Google.

The next important component that should be made part of your internet marketing campaign is the Social Networking platforms. These are sites like facebook, twitter, youtube, gather.com, squidoo, hubpages, ning.com, etc. These are high-traffic sites that have millions of visitors everyday. These are powerful platforms for marketing and promoting your business online.

The last component of an effective internet marketing campaign I want to share with you is article marketing. This is another free but very powerful online marketing method. This involves writing articles about your business, product and services and submit them to high-traffic article directory sites like Ezinearticles.com, Articlesbase.com, Goarticles.com, AssociatedContent and so on. The more articles you write and submit; the more exposure you are going to get for your business.
